Denver Health's care team diagnosed and treated her fast, tracing the cause to a small, common heart defect most people never know they have. She's since made a full recovery. Denver Health was recently certified as a Primary Stroke Center, giving stroke patients faster diagnosis and coordinated treatment from the moment they arrive through recovery. 🛴 Councilman ‘Shames’ Veo

At a town hall last week, council member Chris Hinds said he reached out to the city attorney about the complaints he’s heard from constituents about Veo scooters and e-bikes on the sidewalks. Hinds says the equipment designed to slow down scooters on sidewalks wasn’t activated by the July 1 deadline stipulated in the city’s contract with Veo. For its part, Veo says the contract required the tech to be installed, not activated, and is still refining geofencing to define where the sidewalks end. [BusinessDen]

The 48 Hour Film Project ran this past weekend, where teams wrote, shot, and edited a whole movie in exactly as many hours as you’d assume. Which reminds me, IndieWire just named Denver the ‘best emerging indie film scene’! That’s got me daydreaming about Sundance coming our way. If you’re also deadset on seeing new flicks, consider volunteering! 4 hours volunteered = 1 screening ticket.
