Allegations describe constant flooding, no hot water, pest infestations, and the corpse of a dog left to decay in the vacant swimming pool. Even though the city has already issued more than $50,000 in fines and a criminal citation to the property’s owners, tenants say nothing has changed. [Denver7]

🍺 State Lawmakers Propose New Fees on Alcohol

Manufacturers and wholesale distributors of beer, wine, and liquor could face new fees on their alcohol products if a bill being proposed by two Colorado Democratic lawmakers passes. The revenue would be used to fund alcohol addiction prevention and recovery programs. However, a similar bill proposed in 2024 faced pushback from the governor’s office and ultimately died. [CO Sun]
