‼️ Trump Accuses Dems of ‘Seditious Behavior, Punishable by Death’

President Trump has it out for six Democratic members of Congress — including Aurora’s own Rep. Jason Crow — who filmed and released a 90-second video earlier this week calling on U.S. military members to refuse “illegal orders” from the president. (Likely referring to the recent deployment of the National Guard in cities across the nation.) Trump posted on social media, accusing the lawmakers involved of “SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH.” [AP via CO Sun]

🚰 Aurora Recommends Water Restrictions at Restaurants

Aurora City Council has passed a resolution encouraging local restaurants to only serve water if it’s requested. Other cities, including some in Colorado, have been implementing this practice in the name of water conservation for decades. Compliance in Aurora will be voluntary unless the city enters drought conditions. [Denver Post 🔒]

👷 Does Denver Need Another Street Outreach Team?

This week, a City Council committee advanced an $11 million plan to deploy homeless outreach teams to connect unsheltered Denverites with housing resources and health services. But the teams would also be tasked with things like graffiti removal and answering “hospitality inquiries.” Some council members voiced concerns over using homeless resolution funds for non-homeless services. “Those seem like two different jobs to me,” Councilwoman Shontel Lewis said of the proposal.
