Hey readers!

We send this newsletter out to thousands of Denverites every day, totally free. We don’t put our content behind a paywall because we believe in local journalism that keeps neighbors informed, engaged, curious, and excited about our city — but we need more neighbors to support us in order to keep it that way.
If you enjoy this newsletter (and you’re reading this, so you must) then help us do what we do and become a City Cast Denver Neighbor today.
Join now to get the exclusive new “Neighbors Make Denver” tote bag so you can show off your support.
AND if you become a member now during the fall membership drive, you’ll be entered to win a $250 gift card to any Bonanno Concepts restaurant — Mizuna, Luca, Osteria Marco, Salita, Dumplin’, or Vesper Lounge.

⚾ Rockies Begin Full Rebuild
After the team closed the season with the third-worst record (43-119) in modern league history, Colorado Rockies General Manager Bill Schmidt has resigned from his position. 😶🌫️ Is Your Weed Safe?
Cannabis brand TS Labs announced a voluntary recall for its hash and infused pre-rolled joints, which were contaminated with unacceptable levels of the insecticide chlorfenapyr. Impacted products were sold at about 30 local dispensaries. The Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division advised anyone with a recalled product to return or destroy them.
- An alarming pattern: This is the 11th cannabis recall this year. A recall last month impacted 172 stores across the state. [CPR]
