What's CITY Talking About?

⚖️ Developer Sues Denver Over Affordable Housing Fees
Developer redT Homes is asking a judge to overturn the city’s requirement that builders dedicate a certain number of units as income-restricted or else pay a fee. The developers argue that they shouldn’t be charged for adding housing supply, which they say helps lower housing costs. [Denverite]
🏛️ Denver Planner Leaves After 13 Months
Director of Community Planning and Development Manish Kumar announced he would leave the position in a post on LinkedIn, saying only that he feels his “mission is complete.” The agency is responsible for city planning, historic preservation, and regulating new developments. Spotted Around Town
We love when we spot something cool/weird/wacky around Denver. And, as it turns out, the Mile High has tons of snarky, clever, and ridiculous signs posted about the city 🪧😂

After we shared an anti-parking sign on 36th and Wazee, reader Heather K. sent in this funny warning to drivers, which she saw in the Montclair neighborhood.
Nora A. also shared a poignant pigeon poster from Baker. Penelope the pigeon was last seen in a watermelon outfit.

Have you seen something quirky or curious around town recently? We’d love to see it, too.
