👷 Your Trash, Recycling Schedule is Changing
The City of Denver implemented a reduced trash/recycling pick-up schedule Monday. Recycling will now be collected every other week, instead of weekly. Large item pick-up will take place every nine weeks, instead of four. Officials hope the new schedule will allow them to significantly accelerate the rollout of Denver’s new citywide compost services. [City of Denver]
✏️ How’d Mayor Johnston Do in 2024?
According to the report card he gave himself: pretty good. The mayor says he met the city’s 2024 goals to bring down gun violence, boost morale around downtown’s economy, increase affordable housing, and bring at least 2,000 unsheltered Denverites into housing. Johnston plans to unveil his 2025 goals on Jan. 29. [Denverite]
