🕵️ Denver Pet Owners Beware
The Denver Animal Shelter is warning local pet owners about a recent scam making the rounds. Multiple residents have reported receiving a phone call from what appears to be the city’s 311 hotline in which the caller claims the Denver Animal Shelter has found their lost pet. The caller then says the animal is injured, and a $500 deposit is needed over the phone to begin emergency surgery. Animal shelter officials emphasize they will never request a payment over the phone. [Denverite]
