Happy Tuesday, Denver! Wow! We’re only two weeks away from Election Day. Need some encouragement? I’ve got your Guide to Local Election Guides in today’s special Election-Mania segment. Check it out 👇 🇺🇸

What's CITY Talking About?
🏟️ Council Paves the Way for Ball Arena Redevelopment
Last night, City Council approved six bills related to the rezoning and redevelopment of the area surrounding Ball Arena to make way for 70 acres of mixed-use development. Most notably, council gave the greenlight on a rezoning application, exempted developers from an existing view plane restriction, and locked down an agreement that will keep the Nuggets and Avs playing “in Central Denver” until 2050. 🚲 What Happened to the W. 29th Ave Bike Lane Plan?
A proposed bike lane on the Northside caused an uproar when some residents and business owners took issue with the potential loss of parking spots. Now that part of the cycling infrastructure plan has been canceled, concerns are being raised over which voices were heard when it came to the City’s final decision. [City Cast Denver 🎧]
💰 Mayor Responds to Council’s Budget Suggestions
After reviewing Mayor Mike Johnston’s 2025 budget plan, Denver City Council asked for $29 million in additional funding requests. In response, the mayor conceded to $7.3 million more, plus a promise to reallocate some “existing resources”.
- Where he didn’t budge: The mayor refused to give more money for the creation of Safe RV Parking sites, hiring additional Excise and License staffing, and the continuation of the Denver Basic Income Project. [City of Denver]
