What's CITY Talking About?

👀 Big Ball Arena Decisions Expected Tonight
Nuggets and Avs owner Stan Kroenke scored a major win for his proposed redevelopment plans around Ball Arena last week when his company reached a community benefits agreement with the neighborhood groups they’ve been negotiating with for over a year. Kroenke officials hope the agreement will win over city council, which is scheduled to vote on the possible rezoning tonight. [Denverite]
- Dive deeper: We spoke with Jamie Torres, the city council member who represents the community around Ball Arena, about why this might just be the council's biggest vote of the decade. [City Cast Denver 🎧]

👀 2 Casa Bonita Performers Dish the Deets
While many Denverites see the South Park guys as Casa Bonita’s saviors, the workers who “make the magical moments happen every day” are singing a different tune. Two Pink Palace performers share why they’re pushing to unionize, why no one wants to work the “danger hour,” and how they feel about Matt and Trey’s response. [City Cast Denver 🎧]
🥪 DPS Spoils Lunch
Cafeterias across Denver public schools served students ham-and-cheese croissants last Thursday that were mislabeled “vegetarian,” potentially violating students’ dietary restrictions and/or religious practices. District officials apologized for the accident and promised to tighten oversight. [Denverite]
