What's CITY Talking About?

🙌 Nuggs and Avs Finally Return to Local TV
For the first time in five years, Denverites can watch their two champion sports teams at home. Beginning for the 2024-25 seasons, all games not televised on a national network will be viewable on Kroenke Sports & Entertainment’s brand new Altitude+ streaming service for $19.95 a month. Additionally, a select 20 games for each team will be televised for free on local channel KTVD-20. [Denver Post 🔒]
♿ RTD’s Accessibility Services on the Chopping Block
RTD’s (relatively new) Access-on-Demand program that allows riders with disabilities to call for a car on-demand has grown so popular that the agency is unsure they can continue to afford it. [CPR]
🫏 Ousted CO GOP Chair Will Retain His Seat
A judge has invalidated a recent vote to remove Colorado GOP Chairman Dave Williams from his position. According to the ruling, when Williams’ opponents moved to unseat him last month, they did not have the required amount of votes to legally take action. [CO Sun]

🔎 Coors Family Connections to Project 2025
The Lever founder, David Sirota, has a new podcast series, Master Plan, which in part draws connections to one Colorado business family and the history of political corruption in America. Plus, will Donald Trump actually make good on his promise to visit Aurora to assess the wild gang rumors? Local politicians have been welcoming the former president to see the actual situation for himself. We unpack these stories and more. [City Cast Denver 🎧]

Where Is It?

Last week’s answer: Cherry Bean Coffee, 1111 N. Broadway
- This bright, cheery Cap Hill coffee shop can be found at Broadway and 11th inside The Metlo building. OG fans will remember it as Amethyst Coffee, the space’s former tenant of seven years and the original owners of the sprawling pothos plant that still resides there.
☕ An extra cuppa, please, for our correct guessers:
- Ashley was the first to write in with the correct answer!
- But Darrin A., Sarah S., Hayley J., Tabetha J., Alina R., and 19 others (!!) weren’t far behind!
