♻️ Where Does That Plastic Bag Fee Go?

The City of Denver has collected nearly $5.8 million from the 10-cent plastic bag fee it imposed at retail stores citywide three years ago. About $1 million of those funds have been put toward education and administration of the fee program, as well as funding the city’s reusable bag giveaways and providing reusable dishware and cutlery to local food businesses. 🎵 Denver Live Nation Workers Move to Unionize

Stage crews and production workers at Summit Music Hall and the Marquis Theater will take a formal vote on unionizing later this month over claims of low wages and “virtually nonexistent” benefits. Both music venues are owned by the entertainment giant Live Nation, which is currently in the midst of a multi-state lawsuit over allegations of monopolizing the industry. [Westword]
