What's CITY Talking About?

🛏️ City Buys North Park Hill Men’s Shelter

The City of Denver used $7,548,000 in RISE Denver bond funds to buy the 82,000-square-foot men’s homeless shelter in North Park Hill that it has been leasing since 2020. The purchase is noteworthy because the Johnston administration has otherwise been focused on temporary individual shelter options, like tiny homes and converted motels. [Denverite]

⚖️ King Soopers Shooting Case Moves Forward

The man accused of killing 10 people at a Boulder King Soopers in 2021 pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity on Tuesday. The Delivery App Debate, a ‘Reducetarian’ Thanksgiving, and Holiday Markets
