🚩 Gov. Polis is also mad at your HOA
August 17, 2023
Good morning, Denver! Calling all you John Wick stans out there — Keanu Reeves is in town tonight through Saturday with his recently reunited band Dogstar for three live shows in Denver, Boulder, and Aspen.

What's CITY Talking About?
🏡 Should HOAs Be Able to Foreclose on Your Home?
Homeowners associations in Colorado have filed more than 3,000 foreclosure cases since 2018, with more than 250 of those properties ultimately auctioned off, after the homeowners allegedly neglected their HOA fees. Governor Jared Polis and several Democrat lawmakers said, “clearly, there is still more work to do … to enhance the rights of property owners.” [The Colorado Sun]
⛰️ Please Don’t Be An ‘Ass Clown’
That’s the phrase the San Miguel County sheriff chose to describe the driver of an SUV who went offroad to get around the snow closure at Black Bear Pass and got their vehicle stuck in some rocks. The southwestern Colorado mountain pass remains closed, so consider yourself warned. “We may not be able to reach you if you have an emergency up there,” the sheriff’s office said. “So be prepared to abandon your vehicle, be stranded, or be seriously injured and inconvenienced.” [The Denver Post 🔒]
👋 Galvanize Says Goodbye
Once one of the biggest names in Denver’s coworking scene, Galvanize announced it’ll be closing its last remaining Mile High location, at 1644 Platte St., on Oct. 16. The Boulder-based company opened its first Denver location in the Golden Triangle in 2012. A subsidiary of the global oil company BP is set to move into the Platte Street location. [BusinessDen 🔒]
