⚖️ Body Cam Footage Shows Police Killing of Teen in Aurora
Aurora police shot and killed 14-year-old Jor’Dell Richardson on June 1 after, according to police, he and a group of other teens robbed a convenience store near Dayton St. and E. 8th Ave. The footage released Friday afternoon shows officers chasing Richardson into an alleyway, tackling him to the ground, and firing a single shot. According to police, Richardson was carrying a pellet gun that looked like a real handgun. The officers performed CPR, and Richardson can be heard saying, “They made me do it. I didn’t know who they were. They made me do it.”
