What's CITY Talking About?

💼 Golden Gives 4-Day Work Weeks A Whirl

Starting in July, the city of Golden will give the four-day work week a try. All police department employees will move to a 32-hour work week (with pay adjusted appropriately). The trial will run through the end of the year. The city hopes to see an improvement in employee retention, engagement, and wellbeing. [9News]

  • 🗣️ Learn more: The community is invited to a public discussion on the pilot program hosted by the city on Monday at 5:30 p.m. at the city council chambers.

⛔ DMNS To Close Problematic Exhibit

The Denver Museum of Nature and Science has announced it will temporarily close its American Indian Cultures Hall this summer. After acknowledging that the exhibit’s dioramas perpetuate racist stereotypes, museum officials plan to work with Indigenous community members to “reimagine” the hall. [Denver Post 🔒]

☔ Keep Your Umbrellas Handy
