Aurora is the most diverse city in the state, and itās got a vibrant restaurant scene to match, plus tons more to do. So this week, producer Paul Karolyi drops some Havana Street knowledge on us:
š Somewhere To eat:The caveat here is that Iām a vegetarian, but for my money,Katsu Ramenis the best ramen in the city. This time of year, itās probably every two weeks or so that l get a craving for a bowl of their veggie miso ramen. They add tomatoes to bring an irresistible sweet-and-sourness.
š„ Something To Do:Park your car along the High Line Canal and bike to the expansive Expo Park, where one of the metro areaāsbest disc golf courseswinds around some lovely riparian areas. True disc freaks know the mountain courses are where itās at, but if you want to get a round in before lunch, this is the spot.
š„ Another Great Dining Option:Hot pot! Who doesnāt love a meal thatās also an activity? Iām still pretty new to this kind of meal, but I recently had a great time lounging and slowly eating my way through all the fresh ingredients on the buffet line atSeoul K-BBQ & Hot Pot. Itās a little pricey, but you can really make a night of it, testing out all the dreamy flavor combos.
š Somewhere To Stroll:More of a somber respite from the traffic of Havana,Babi Yar Parkcommemorates the 1941-43 Nazi massacre of Ukrainian Jews and others in Kiev. Itās a lovely little park with plenty to see and some nice shady spots to sit.
