As Denver prepares for possibly another influx of migrants, here are a few local organizations  that you can donate to or get involved with to offer your support to our immigrant communities.

CIRC is a statewide organization that works on legal and health assistance, public education, and policy advocacy. It provides opportunities to donate and volunteer, along with great tools and resources for neighbors looking to help out.

Casa de Paz provides temporary housing and communication assistance to people who are released from Aurora’s immigration detention center. They have hosted over 10,000 guests since their founding in 2012. Casa de Paz also offers volunteer opportunities to become a pen pal or visit with someone who is currently being held in the facility.

Navigating a complex immigration system almost always requires legal assistance, which can be a monetary barrier for migrants. This fund is operated by The Denver Foundation and administers grants to qualified nonprofits providing pro-bono or low-bono legal assistance for migrants.

You can also visit the city’s website for up to date information on how to help migrants who have recently arrived in Denver.
