The snow may not have stuck around this weekend, but when it does, you should know: Denver requires property owners to begin clearing sidewalks as soon as snow stops falling. Pedestrian walkways are expected to be clear within 24 hours, and failure to do so could result in a $150 fine. Need help? Denver’s Snow Angels program sends out volunteers to shovel sidewalks for residents who need assistance.

Become a Snow Angel

You can sign up here, email [email protected], call 720-913-7669, or reach out to your Registered Neighborhood Organization.

Need a Snow Angel?

You can apply here. You must meet these eligibility requirements:

  • Must be a Denver City and County resident
  • Must be physically unable to shovel
  • Must be financially unable to pay for a service

Good to Know

Snow Angels do not shovel driveways or front steps, or remove downed trees. If you’re outside of Denver City and County limits and need help, call 211.
