The City of Denver’s annual #BeAGiver seasonal hygiene drive is happening now through May 17. The Denver Human Services department is on a mission to collect essential personal care items to distribute to unhoused community members and others who could use a helping hand.

How to Give

There are more than 30 drop-off sites around the city collecting donations. You can find one near you using this interactive map. Or, you can purchase needed items online from the department’s Amazon Wishlist.

You can also consider signing up as a volunteer to help organize collected donations, or spread the word about the campaign on social media using the hashtag #BeAGiver and tagging DHS.

Most Needed Items

  • 3-in-1 body wash / bar soap
  • Shampoo / conditioner
  • Deodorant
  • Dish soap
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Laundry soap
  • Lotion
  • Maxi pads / tampons
  • Razors / shaving cream
  • Sunscreen
  • Toilet paper

Be a Giver All Year Round

Though the city’s official spring hygiene drive is only for a few weeks, here are some ways to give back to the community any time of the year.
